Here is a place I’ve been going to for 20 years for my supplies. They have everything needed for preparing your move. Their prices ar fair. You might also try half price boxes or Lowe’s and Home Depot. Texan box though is great for overall needs a a good price.
Sometimes professional Houston to Austin Movers will bill you by weight and mileage. I just do an hourly charge for the loading /unloading time along with a mileage charge. A 2 bedroom apartment move from Cedar park, to the Heights, on average would be 1200.00 to 1500.00. Depending on the amount of stairs and length of walks.. Or if you would like us to pack more, it could go more. 3 hours of loading/ unloading time total, plus 165 miles is 1350.00. This is a realistic quote, for a relatively prepared 2 bedroom apt , mostly first floor.
Small moving jobs from Houston to Austin / Austin to Houston
At times I’ve done small moving jobs from Houston to Austin and vice versa, without a helper. Boxes, most couches, queen beds and smaller, Televisions, washers and dryers etc.. These are all items I can carry or dolly. If I do the job alone it’s basically 20% cheaper. I’ve done moves from downtown Austin to Houston for 900.00 to 1100.00 dollars. Also, from League city to Leander for 1150.00.
