An average 1 bedroom move, in Austin, is anywhere from 300.00 to 500.00 dollars. If your preparation is mostly complete and there are no long walks and minimal stairs, this cuts down on the cost. We can definately assist with packing, if need be and I always have large Gondola boxes for Closets and other larger, loose items. These can be used with or without stairs. Ive got dollies, blankets, shrink wrap and tie downs.
A 2 bedroom apartment adds some time usually but it just depends on the individual move. Say a 2nd floor aprtment move to another 2nd floor going half way across town. If parking is decent, usually 3 to 4 hours is enough to complete the job. Which is 500 to 650.00. This includes the truck/travel charge.
A 1 or 2 bedroom apartment form central Austin to uptown Dallas ranges anywhere from 1000.00 to 1500.00. On rre occasion it could be more but most small 1 bedroom/ efficiency type jobs are 1000.00 to 1200.00. Here is a link if you’d like to send a quote request. Packing supplies / Services
I offer full service packing as well or just help completing the last bit of preparation.
Here are the places that I go to for supplies:
Texanbox – THey have a huge selection and their prices are fair.
Half price boxes – FAir prices – large selection.
Lowes.com – I go here if I’m in a time crunch or need super heavy duty, more expensive boxes.
Homedepot.com – Same as Lowe’s but I can’t recall if they have the real heavy duty boxes.
Storage
If you are planning on storing your items, please be sure to consider protection in the unit. WHen we load the trailer, I have dozens of blankets to use, to cover your furniture etc. If we arrive to unload at your storage and the unit is a tight fit and we have no blankets to use, it can create a problem. Having a larger unit in comparison to the amount of air space you need, is helpful. We may not have to spend to much time packing the unit tight or stacking, if we have a lot of room. However, not everyone can afford or wants to spend extra money to have this luxury. I can utiliites empty cardboard boxes and pack things in the unit, as much as possible, separated and away from each other. I always try and do my best to take care of your items and pocketbook, the best I can.
