Experienced movers - Fair pricing
Hello! My name is Eliot, I have been a mover for almost 30 years and Mighty E's is a small business. I do all the work myself or with my helper. At this point I do a lot of smaller jobs but can still do the larger houses and offices. I also regularly go to Houston and Dallas etc. . Moving people from there to here or here to there. Average prices for Apartment and House moves:
Preparation, terrain and stairs, all have an affect on the total time spent to complete the job, drive time as well.
1 bedroom apartments in town: 150 per hour for a 2 man crew and a 50 to 100 dollar truck, travel, tolls fee.
There is a 2 hour minimum on most jobs but after that, it's by the minute. If there are no stairs and the customer is well prepared, 2 to 2.5 hours is realistic in town, to complete the move. On rare occasions a 1 bedroom can take 5 hours but normally 2 to 3 hours, even with stairs.. WIth a large 1 bedroom, a longer drive, stairs on both ends and difficult terrain, maybe 4 .. or 5 hours.
2 bedroom apartments:
SImilar to a 1 bedroom with another 30 to 60 minutes for additional furniture and boxes.
Small to medium size houses:
The same rates per hour and travel fee.
Sometimes I can get everything from a house in one trip. Other times its a 2 trip job.
Usually one full trip from a house with some dis assembly and re assembly of furniture, takes about 4.5 to 6 hours.If it's obvious it will be a 2 trip move.. I usually expedite the trips nd keep it moving since we will have to come back anyway.
The best way for me to get an accurate estimate for you is just to talk over the phone about details. If possible, photographs of your belongings will help too.
OUT OF TOWN JOBS:
At times I'm able to give a flat rate on these. I base the price on the mileage plus loading/ unloading time.
