Average moving prices by size
Here is a list of average move prices. These are based on the customer being fully prepared/ packed up coming from a 2nd floor goingto a 2nd floor, with no long walks. (Long walk being more than 100 feet from the front door to where we park and load up at). 330.00 for a 2 hour minimum, This includes the travel charge. Anything after 2 hours is 2.50 per minute.
1 bedroom aprtments or large efficiencies:
Same part of town – 2 to 3 hours. Usually closer to 2 hours.
Going across town – Add the extra drive time.
Going to westside Houston: 900.00 to 1200.00.
Going to Southeast side or similar: 1050.00 to 1350.00.
Going to central Dallas: 1000.00 to 1300.00.
Going to far north Dallas: 1150.00 1450.00.
2 bedroom apartments:
Same part of town in Austin – Usually 3 to 4 hours. Austin to League City Movers
Going across town – 3 to 5 hours.
Going to Westside Houston: 1200.00 to 1450.00.
Going to Far Southeast side or similar: 1350.00 to 1600.00.
Going to central Dallas: 1350.00 to 1700.00. (Elevators are common).
Going to far north Dallas. 1500.00 to 1700.00. Austin to Dallas
3 bedroom houses/townhomes:
This can vary quite a bit depending on what type of furniture people have, appliances, dis assembly and re assembly. Sometimes we can knock out a prepared smaller 3 bedroom in the sma epart of town in 3 to 4 hours. Sometimes 6 to 8 hours, with two trips. Should someone have a 4 bedroom house with a garage and backyard items, this could take all day. At times I will devide up the move into two days, if the customer is ok with it. The goal for myself and my company is to be expeditious but safe. Certain types of bedroom furniture takes more focus and care in the dis assembly/re assembly area. Hardwood floors, tricky staircases or extra long driveways.
We can do one piece in-house moves up to multi truck jobs. It’s really just a matter of the time and proper preparation.
I also do alot of the smaller moving jobs alone with my dollies and equipment. This saves a lot off of the base normal minimum charge. Same if you just need a few pieces moved. I can give you a flat rate based on the details of the job, rather than the hourly rate.
Packing service:
Here is where I go usually for all my supplies. Texanbox.com. They are open to the public and located off Aw Grimes in Round Rock. Half price boxes also, Lowes and Home depot, have solid supplies as well.
