I started working as a mover back in my hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska my last years of college . I moved to Austin in 1996 and worked as a piano mover, amongst other things. Rates
We work on an hourly basis here most of the time. However, I’m particular about my pricing/ billing and keep track of any store stops or small breaks. I round down on the time as well at the end. Moving people, to and from Austin, is something I have done many times and I really enjoy.

Packing / Supplies
A 2 bedroom apartment move, San Antonio to Austin (or vice versa) usually costs anywhere from 750.00 to 1200.00 dollars. If there are long walks or a lot of stairs, or extra preparation, this can take a bit more time. Here is a link to Texan box, they have solid supplies and fair prices.. In closing
If you have just a few pieces or a single piece to move, I do flat rates on those. To save the customer money, a lot of times I can do those jobs solo, depending on the items.
